
Iroko
KWPN - chestnut - born:1990 1.69mIroko is a magnificent jumper from a superb
sports horse lineage. Iroko's sire is the millionaire Pilot (winnings DM 1.7
million). He is sometimes called the jumper progenitor of the nineties, claiming
a top ranking in the German jumping index with 193 points. Famous Pilot products
in the international showjumping world are: Priamos, Panok, Pirol, Bugatti
Pedro, Prinzregent, Palntom, Everest Showtime and Panama.One of the most
promising Pilot sons is Pinocchio. His granddam is a full sister to Iroko's
granddam. Iroko's dam is a state premium mare, the highest conformation
qualification for mares in Germany, the same also having been awarded to
granddam Ricke. Bianca, Iroko's dam, is by Bengale. His progeny have earned more
than half a million DM in sport. In showjumping Bengale is represented by
offspring Ben Hur, Bengel, Bacca and Bolero.Meanwhile Iroko jumps
internationally with a great deal of success. He showed his talent by finishing
second in the Grand Prix of Zuidlaren, 1st in the mini Grand Prix of Leeuwarden
and 4th in Verona.Iroko's first offspring was born in 1994. His children show
the same reflexes in the jump as their father and their types are also as
beautiful as Iroko himself.Iroko's son Milton finished 3rd in the World
Championships for dressage at Arnhem in 1999 and Nashua is successful in
dressage with his rider Gerdine Maree.In 1999 Iroko is one of the leading sires
of the showjumping index with 142 points.
Granddam Ricke is a daughter of the famous Remus I, son of the legendary
Radetzky who won international S-level dressage competitions under Mr. Kukuck.
Remus has become famous for his progeny such as the top dressage stallions
Romandour II and Renoir.At his performance test in Ermelo, Iroko was described
as a very typical riding type stallion, with a lot of blood and quality. In
jumping he proved to rank amongst the best of his year and received two 9's for
free jumping and jumping under saddle. With his rider Jur Vrieling, they were
reserve champion at the 1.30m class of the "comin stallion" in 1996. The also
became 3rd in the 1.35m class for KWPN stalliions at s-Hertogenbosch when Iroko
was only 6 years old.
